Tommy is the son of Vackachan (George T. Kallarakal) and Marymma (Mary G. Kallarakal). Tommy was born in Maryland and spent most of his life growing up in Silver Spring with his parents. He attended Springbrook High School and received his B.A. from the University of Maryland at College Park. He is currently an IT professional.
Tommy married Anu Momin, daughter of Vidya and Mansoor Momin who emigrated to US from Maharashtra, India. Anu grew up in Virginia and Iowa. She graduated from Virginia Tech University with a B.S. and subsequently earned a doctorate degree from Marymount University. She currently practices as a licensed physical therapist.
Tommy and Anu reside in Northern Virginia and with their two sons Matthew and Sahil.
